Balcony disney dream rooms

New cruise liners are being built with more balcony cabins than any other type of accommodation, but not all verandah cabins are the same. Some have more interior space, while others have larger balconies or additional amenities. If you're looking for the best balcony cabin you can book without having to upgrade to a mini-suite or suite, here are our five favorites in all major categories.

1. Veranda cabins from Holland America
Holland America has well-designed balcony cabins, which are usually available from 212 square feet including the lanai (most are 54 square feet). Depending on the ship and cabin, the rooms feature the signature Mariner's Dream Bed, seating areas, plenty of storage and bathtubs (a rarity in many standard cruise ship accommodations). Extras include bathrobes, fresh fruit and a shoe shine service. If you are looking for a little more space inside or out, read through the deck plans or ask your travel agent about balcony rooms aft and cabins on the ship's hill (where the structure protrudes) with slightly larger verandas.

2. Large balcony cabins of the Norwegian Cruise Line
Norwegian Cruise Line is known for its modern and fun decor, often with splashes of jewel color to brighten things up. If you are looking for more space, choose a large balcony cabin. The size varies depending on the ship, but the interior is either the same or larger than conventional verandah cabins with double or larger balconies. Another advantage: The showers are more equipped with doors than with attached curtains.

3. Celebrity Cruises AquaClass cabins
Celebrity's AquaClass cabins are a great choice, whether you're a true spa lover or just looking for a quieter cruising environment. The cabins are 194 square feet and have a 54 square foot private porch. This is more indoor and outdoor space than conventional porch cabins. But the amenities really sell the room. The cabin itself features a Hansgrohe shower panel, pillow menu, flavored tea service, special bedding and extended room service menu. Leave the room to use the spa concierge, complimentary access to the Persian Garden Thermal Suite and Blu - a specialty reserved for AquaClass passengers only.
